Preservation resolution for Promontory Point passes the Illinois Senate

This morning, Senator Robert Peters supported the community and its preservation approach to design and construction at Promontory Point by putting through a resolution in the Illinois Senate.

Peters said, "This resolution reflects our commitment to preserving its character while addressing shoreline protection in a way that respects the community's voice. . . . This is about more than protecting a landmark. It's about honoring the community's dedication to protecting the Point for future generations. The Community Preservation Plan sends a clear message that preservation and progress can go hand-in-hand."
